LISBON 361 GOES HOME FROM THE BLACK COUNTRY MUSEUM 20 MARCH 2018

Tram 5 outside the depot
Today was the day that 361 returned home to Lisbon after over 20 years  under a tarpaulin at the Black Country Museum. The Museum has decided it no longer needs 361, so has donated it to Paolo Marques collection of Lisbon trams housed in his depot near Lisbon. A low loader lorry from Portugal arrived at the Black Country Museum last night ready to pick up the tram this morning and start its journey home.

ROTHERHAM TRAM TRAIN PROGRESS 7 MARCH 2018 - Martin Miller

I had another look yesterday to see whether the Tram-Train project looked more complete than my last visit. Unfortunately there was not much evidence other than the overhead wires. Spoke to a "Carillion" branded worker who said than they had been retained until mid-April but it beggars belief that two simple platforms can take so long. Passed the Parkage end of line on the train and that looked much more complete.

DUBLIN - LISBON TRAM CAFE 28 JANUARY 2018 part 3

A nice surprise when we finally found it!
The tram was found in a field in Galway by one of the owners who saw the potential to use it as a cafe in Dublin. We had been told there was a cafe in a tram on Woolf Tone Square in Dublin, which we had great difficulty finding as it is nowhere near Woolf Tone Quay and had to finally resort to asking at the Tourist Office.  It's only a couple of hundred yards from either Jervis tram stop or down Henry Street.

No, it's a brass bull. First sight of the tram sighted on a former graveyard.
